Our Registry

While we prefer to receive cash in order to help pay for the wedding we understand this is not preferable for some people and therefore have made a gift registry with The Bay.  some of the advantages of using The Bay is that it is available online, or in stores across Canada. Delivery can be done at Any Bay location or can be arranged for us to pick it up. There is also a Bay very close to the Venue and the Hotel (in downtown Montreal)

Our Venue

We selected the Thomson House as the location of our reception after my good friend Catherine was married last year and had her reception here.

This simple but elegant mansion was constructed in 1935 as a private residence and was purchased in 1968 by McGill to house the Post Graduate Students Society which it still does to this day.

We have reserved Deluxe Rooms (Single or Double Occupancy) at $165/Night  (Triple and quad occupancy have a 20$ per person surcharge.)

The deluxe room is described as "256-307 square feet of living space, these well-appointed accommodations with either one king or two double beds also include a sitting area, work space, and a spacious Italian marble bathroom" You can learn more about the room and hotel features via this link

Our group rate includes the following:

Reservation Information

Reservations can be made on the phone at 1-800-THE-OMNI and,you must refer to the group and meeting name "Smyth/Colborne Wedding" Reservations must be made on or before July the 17th, 2012 5pm. All group attendees will be responsible for their own room, tax and incidental charges. All reservations guaranteed to the master account and fail to arrive on the scheduled arrival date will be considered No-Shows and a charge of one nights room and tax will be posted to the individual Attendee’s credit card on file.

CHECK-IN/OUT TIME

Our check-in time is 3:00 pm and check-out time is 12:00 noon. All guests arriving before 3:00 pm will be accommodated as rooms become available. Guest Service staff can arrange to check baggage for those arriving early when rooms are unavailable and for guests attending functions on departure day.
